The Root Beneath (TM) is a youth reading initiative, aimed at improving reading comprehension within the Black community. It stands on the principle that, a child who cannot read is destined for failure, that when well read, their opportunities of life vastly improve, in all areas of mental clarity toward purpose, principled living, that accesses power to achieve goals, where important, and essential, intuitive reasoning is more readily available.
Our simple approach is that EVERY CHILD bears responsibility for learning to read and read well. The home is therefore, the necessary environment for this event to occur. And we encourage all parents to understand their part in exposing their child to all areas where reading comprehension can occur.
The Root Beneath (TM) recognizes that children must be inspired to read as a lifetime practice.
